The Brief
The owners left the city for a few acres of rolling hills and wanted a house that made the most of the view. They asked for a generous kitchen at the centre of family life and bedrooms that feel like a retreat.
The Plan
We set the house along the slope so the living room, bedrooms and bathroom all face the valley through full-height glass. The kitchen sits at the heart of the plan, open to the living space, with a terrace beyond for long lunches outside.

Materials and Finish
Board-formed concrete ceilings, oak joinery and honed stone, kept to a soft, sandy palette. Linen, bouclé and wool add warmth, and a backlit arched mirror gives the dressing room a gentle glow.
Living in It
The concrete holds the day’s warmth into the evening, and the view does the decorating. It’s a house designed to be lived in slowly.
